
About PSMPA
Established in 1883, The Public Service Mutual Provident Association (PSMPA) is one of Sri Lanka's oldest mutual provident organizations. The Association promotes financial security and welfare among public officers through savings schemes, affordable loans, settlements, medical assistance, retirement benefits and dedicated member services.

History
In the year 1883 Mr. E.D.Soertsz a public spirited gentleman together with 38 other good spirited public servants formed what is today the PUBLIC SERVICE MUTUAL PROVIDENT ASSOCIATION. At the very first Annual General Meeting a resolution for the incorporation of the Association was moved and this materialized in the year 1891 with the enactment of the P.S.M.P.A. Ordinance No.5 of 1891 (Chap 283). Thus proudly becoming the first Association of Public Officers in the whole Asian region with a noble cause of promoting thrift.

Our Mission
To fulfill all financial and other requirements of the members by utilizing the latest technology for an efficient and speedy service oriented work ethic so that it would uplift the living standards and bring prosperity to them and also enhance the productivity of the Association and maximizing profitability and economic viability which would ultimately meet the goals and fulfill the Objectives of the Association.

To fulfill the dream of purchasing a property and building a house of their own by granting House and Property loans on easy repayment terms.
To update members in the latest information technology and knowledge by providing facilities to obtain latest technological equipment.
To provide medical assistance at times of serious illness/surgery.
To grant benefits to members at retirement.
To make provision for spouses and legitimate children.
