In the year 1883 Mr. E.D.Soertsz a public spirited gentleman together with 38 other good spirited public servants formed what is today the PUBLIC SERVICE MUTUAL PROVIDENT ASSOCIATION. At the very first Annual General Meeting a resolution for the incorporation of the Association was moved and this materialized in the year 1891 with the enactment of the P.S.M.P.A. Ordinance No.5 of 1891(Chap 283) .Thus proudly becoming the first Association of Public Officers in the whole Asian region with a noble cause of promoting thrift
